Endoscopy Referral: Mount Sinai
Dr. Laura Targownik (GI specialist) at Mount Sinai Hospital has spots available for quick access to endoscopy. On your referral to Dr. Targownik, please indicate that you want Endoscopy for your patient (she will do a perfunctory consult too). If your patient requires a detailed GI consult with a possibility of endoscopy down the road, the wait time is 6-8 months. Adding clarity to your referral will open access to endoscopy quickly if required.
New Urologist at WCH and MSH
Alexandra (Alexi) Millman is a reconstructive urologist on staff at Women's College Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospital. She operates at WCH doing day procedures and is on call at Mount Sinai. Dr. Millman's clinical and research interests are in transition-related surgery, reconstructive urology, and patient reported outcomes. She is particularly interested in seeing patients with urethral issues including strictures, cysts, and fistulae. She will see general urology problems, especially if they will need small surgery like hydroceles, adult circumcisions, and vasectomies. She does NOT specialize in female urology or urogynecology (ie prolapse, stress incontinence, interstitial cystitis) and she does NOT treat low testosterone. All of Dr Millman’s outpatient clinical activities are based at WCH. The Fax number to refer patients is 416-323-6198.

Introducing Dr. Ginette Moores: Expert Neurologist Specializing in Women’s and Obstetrical Neurology
Dr. Ginette Moores is a Neurologist with additional expertise in women’s neurology and obstetrical neurology. Currently she works in the Wasser Pain Management Centre as part of the Pain in Pregnancy Program focused on headache treatment optimization in pregnancy and preconception. Referrals through Wasser Pain in Pregnancy referral form may be faxed to 416 260 3244.
Her main clinical focus is on the assessment and management of women with neurologic disorders who require preconception counselling/medication optimization and management of all neurologic conditions during pregnancy. All patients referred in pregnancy are seen within 1 month of referral to ensure timely access to care.
Additionally, she has a general neurology practice. All pregnancy and general neurology referrals may be faxed to 416 260 3244.
Kindercare Rapid Access Pediatric Clinic
The Mid-West Toronto-Ontario Health Team and the North Toronto-Ontario Health Team have partnered to make scheduled rapid access paediatric appointments available at Kindercare during the respiratory season. The clinic is available for in-person appointments from 4pm to 8pm on weekdays and 10am to 4pm on weekends. The clinic can also be accessed virtually from 10am to 4pm on weekdays.
The service is available to children, including those without OHIP coverage. Medical interpretation is available upon request. The clinic operates on a Nurse Practitioner-led model with medical notes made available for each encounter.
