Our Board of Directors

Dr. Michelle Naimer is a family physician who provides comprehensive care to patients in the Mount Sinai Academic Family Health Team (MSAFHT). She has Co-Chaired the Mid-West Toronto Family Practice Network since its inception about 3 years ago. Other administrative roles include Clinical Director of the MSAFHT, and Chair of the FHT Board. Dr Naimer is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, University of Toronto, and regularly teaches residents and medical students, and engages in primary care research.

Dr Hedi Erenrich practices comprehensive family medicine. She has held varied academic roles within the department of Family and Community Medicine over the years and is currently the primary care lead for the mid-west Toronto SCOPE program at UHN/WCH.

Dr. Dara Maker is a family physician practicing comprehensive family medicine at the Women's College Academic Family Health Team, and Associate Department Head and Medical Director. She is the President of the WCH Academic and Medical Services Group Management Board, a member of the WCH FHT Board and the University of Toronto Undergraduate Medical Education Board of Examiners. Dr. Maker is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto and has held numerous leadership positions in undergraduate medical education.

Jessie is a Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner at WCH in the family practice. She is cross-appointed with both U of T Bloomberg School of Nursing and Temerty School of Medicine and mentors learners from both disciplines in her work. Jessie is interested in improving patient safety and experience using quality improvement strategies and systems thinking and aspires to be a leader in healthcare delivery and operations.

Faye is a SCOPE community family physician practicing comprehensive family medicine in midtown Toronto. She has worked in a number of practice models including FHG's, FHO's, FHT's and CHC's. She holds a master's degree in medical education and is currently teaching medical students in the 2nd year Family Medicine Longitudinal Experience (FMLE) course within the Department of Family and Community Medicine, University of Toronto. Before relocating to Toronto, she had been the Program Director for the Family Medicine Residency Program at the University of Ottawa, Civic Site, and implemented the undergraduate Evidence-Based Medicine Curriculum at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Medicine. She has also served in board leadership positions for a number of non-profit organizations. Faye is excited to be taking on the role of Co-Chair of the Mid-West Toronto Family Practice Network.

Dr. Susan Brunt has been a community family physician in mid-town Toronto providing comprehensive primary care for over 30 years. She has served on a variety of boards during this time. Her interests include primary mental health care particularly in adolescents and young adults

Paul provides extensive primary care services at PQWCHC and has also worked as a hospitalist in diverse hospital settings across Ontario. He holds leadership positions as Vice Chair of the Licensing Appeal Tribunal at the Ministry of the Attorney General and as an Executive member, District 11, OMA.

Dr. Benjamin Kaasa is an academic family physician and practices comprehensive family medicine at the Toronto Western Family Health Team and as a hospitalist at UHN. He regularly teaches residents and medical students and is the program director for the PGY-3 enhanced skills year in Hospital Medicine at the DFCM. He is the current program medical director for primary care at UHN, an innovative and novel program to integrate primary care values within the programs offered at UHN and create new and efficient collaborative models of care.

Dr. Adriana Di Stefano is a dedicated Family Physician and Lecturer in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto. With extensive clinical experience across urban, rural, and remote communities in Canada, she brings a broad and nuanced understanding of primary care systems and patient needs. She currently provides comprehensive, longitudinal care at her permanent practice at Parkdale Queen West Community Health Centre. A strong advocate for health equity, Dr. Di Stefano has served on the Steering Committee of Health Providers Against Poverty since 2020. She brings governance and leadership experience through her completion of the Ontario College of Family Physicians–Rotman Leadership Program, and the Women Who Lead Governance Fellowship.

Dr. Vibhuti Gupta has been practising comprehensive primary care since 2018. She works at Bloom Family Practice at Bloor and Avenue Rd. After completing her Honours Bachelors of Science at the University of Toronto, she pursued her medical training and residency in England. Outside of medicine, she is a passionate traveller and fitness enthusiast.

Dr. Audrey Karlinsky is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto. She has been dedicated to practicing full scope Family Medicine and mentoring the next generation of physicians as she regularly integrates medical learners into her clinic practice.
Dr. Karlinsky served as the Board Vice-Chair and as a Board Director with the Ontario Medical Association (OMA), and the OMA Insurance Board of Directors. She is an elected Governor on the Governing Council of the University of Toronto.
Dr. Karlinsky recently earned her ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) designation (GCB.D), from Competent Boards, reflecting her commitment to ethical governance and sustainability practices.

Puja practices comprehensive family medicine and under her leadership has led a number of initiatives to establish and maintain a thriving clinic; retaining staff, attracting family physicians, increasing efficiency and reducing financial strain. She has been an active SCOPE user, contributing to new processes to enhance services for her colleagues.
